Our Brewery
Kanasago Breweryは、“K.Kamoshida” という造園家によってつくられました。何にも縛られず、自由気ままに暮らしたい――。そんな想いを胸に、“K.Kamoshida” は豊かな自然が広がる場所を探し続けていました。
“K.Kamoshida” は、世界中の美しい場所に訪れるのが好きで、よく旅に出ていました。
そんな旅の途中でたどり着いたのが、ここ、旧・金砂郷町。
黄金に輝く稲穂の風景に心を奪われ、「この美しい景色を眺めながら、庭先で飲むビールはきっと最高だ」と思い至り、この地に暮らすことを決意しました。
Kanasago Brewery was founded by a landscape designer named “K.Kamoshida.” Wishing to live freely, by anything, “K.Kamoshida” continued searching for a place rich in nature.
“K.Kamoshida” loved visiting beautiful places around the world and often set out on journeys. During one
of these travels, “K.Kamoshida” arrived at the former KANASAGO Town.
Captivated by the sight of golden rice fields, “K.Kamoshida” thought, “Drinking beer in my garden while admiring this beautiful scenery must be the ultimate experience.” With that in mind, “K.Kamoshida” decided to make this place home.

— この素晴らしい風景を五感で楽しめたなら。そうだ、この景色を閉じ込めたクラフトエールをつくろう。目で感じ、香り、そして味わう。そんなビールがあったなら、最高の時間を過ごせるのではないか――。
そんな想いから、Kanasago Breweryは誕生し、最初につくられたのが、“KANASAGO ALE (カナサゴエール) ” です。
自然の美しさと、そこに息づく時間をそのまま詰め込む――。そんなクラフトエールを目指して、今日もまた、クラフトエールがつくられています。
“K.Kamoshida” had a sudden realization.
— What if I could experience this magnificent scenery with all my senses? Yes, I should capture this landscape in a craft ale. To see it, to smell it, and to taste it— if such a beer existed, wouldn’t it create the perfect moment?
With this thought, Kanasago Brewery was born, and the very first creation was “KANASAGO ALE.”
Encapsulating the beauty of nature and the essence of time itself—With this vision in mind, another craft ale is being brewed today.
KANASAGO ALE
Kanasago Breweryでつくられるクラフトエールには、麦やホップに加え、”K.Kamoshida” が世界各国で集めた多種多様なハーブやスパイスを使用したものもあります。
クラフトエール本来の豊潤な味わいを大切にしながら、植物の持つ甘みや香りを最大限に生かすよう調合。また、植物が秘める薬効にもこだわり、豊かな自然の恵みを五感で楽しめるクラフトエールを目指しています。
さらに、規格外などの理由で廃棄される農作物を原料として活用し、フードロス削減にも貢献。
“失われゆくものに、新たな価値を。”自然の恵みを決して無駄にしないことも、このBreweryの大切なこだわりです。
Some of the craft ales brewed at Kanasago Brewery incorporate not only barley and hops but also a diverse array of herbs and spices that “K.Kamoshida” has gathered from around the world. While cherishing the rich and full-bodied flavors inherent to craft ale, each brew is carefully blended to maximize the natural sweetness and aroma of the plants. Additionally, great attention is given to the medicinal properties they possess, aiming to create a craft ale that allows people to experience the blessings of nature with all five senses.
Furthermore, by utilizing produce that would otherwise be discarded due to imperfections or other reasons, the brewery is committed to reducing food waste.
“Giving New Value to the Lost.” Ensuring that nature’s gifts are never wasted is one of the core values of this brewery.
